Food Safety Policing Assignment Paper

Introduction

As human beings we need food to thrive. It is the food we take that aids in the growth of the body. The food we take in our bodies is crucial in determining our health. If someone takes in foods containing contaminants and harmful bacteria for instance, the result is diseases upon their bodies. To the extreme, the person may die after much suffering. Dirty or unsafe foods are a threat both to the individuals and the public. Food contains the elements the body needs to grow; Vitamins, proteins and carbohydrates all are obtained from food (Fung et al., 2018). Food Safety Policing  A lack or deficiency of these elements can lead to retarded growth, starvation and death. From these facts, it can be concluded that food is crucial in our lives (Fung et al., 2018). Being this important, the safety of it is as well important (Wang et al., 2019). In addition, rules and regulations towards food safety are important. Research on this area is important for public health. The present paper contains two parts: a proposal for the topic in discussion and the annotated bibliography for ten sources.

Research Question: Can food safety regulations reduce food safety related deaths?

Theoretical Framework

Wang et al., (2019) identify food safety as a common concern in all the parts of the world. The importance of food safety cannot be emphasized enough. The food the people take need to be safe if a population is to thrive (Wang et al., 2019). What food is safe? According to Wang et al., food is made up of different organic metals that are consisted in the food from the time of planting to harvest time. Some of these metals are risky and pose a danger to the people. “Metal-organic frameworks” (Wang et al., 2019) could be applied in food monitoring food safety, preservation & packaging, processing and covering. The argument furthered by Wang et al. is that, detection and removal of harmful products from food is and will always be necessary for the safety of the population, health wise (Wang et al., 2019). The necessity extends also to controlling the risks and the hazardous materials that maybe present in the food acquired in the process of growth. From the gathered literature it can be said that unsafe foods can cause deaths. Food safety policing can therefore lower such deaths (Wang et al., 2019)

Food safety regulations have in recent times have been considered as outstanding. According to Kareem & Kareem (2020), regulating food safety is as important as regulating trade in a country. Food Safety Policing  Agriculture, in many if not all developing worlds is the anchor for their economies. Governing food safety means introducing policing towards the agriculture as well. This indicates the importance of the issue in discussion (Kareem & Kareem, 2020). Food safety policies, when in place ensure plant, animal and human health. If the people, and firms in the developing firms comply with the laid down policies concerning food safety, it can be concluded that the health of people in the society is guaranteed. Increasing the certified product’s value increases the consumer’s faith in the products (Kareem & Kareem, 2020).  This in the food sector means good business (Kareem & Kareem, 2020). This is to say that, food safety regulations can improve trade. This and many other literatures from different research highlight the importance of food safety policies.

Food safety policing can be employed in the “food safety law enforcement” (Croner-I, 2021). This law is enforced by officers from the government institutions for instance the health practitioners. They are to make sure that anyone involved in the businesses regarding food they follow the laid down standards. Unsafe foods can be consisted of food injurious and/or unfit to be consumed. Food that is injurious may include food that contain added articles or entities that make it injurious. Food unfit for consumption can be highlighted as that containing harmful bacteria or chemicals as well as molds (Croner-I, 2021).

Method

Literature Review. Literature review on the importance of food policing will be reviewed clearly. The dangers posed by unsafe foods will be clearly highlighted. The literature will be critically reviewed with a clear analysis about the food safety and the importance of food safety policing, drafted. the findings from these literatures will be written clearly and compiled in the final research paper.

Conclusion

In conclusion, human beings we need food to thrive. It is the food we take that aids in the growth of the body (Croner-I, 2021). Food contains the elements the body needs to grow; Vitamins, proteins and carbohydrates all are obtained from food (Croner-I, 2021). Unsafety of food has negative consequences to the population. Food law enforcement involves health officers making sure that people and firms follow the laid down regulations concerning food safety. Enforcement and conforming to food safety regulations or policing can mean better trade relations (Croner-I, 2021). Food safety policing or regulations are important in ensuring the health of the people. Unsafe foods mean unhealthy people.
