Brief description of your results from the StrengthsFinder assessment.

The Clifton Strengths assessment revealed five key leadership themes. Firstly, a futuristic theme that indicates being inspired by an idealized future as part of strategic thinking. As a leader, I am forward looking and can easily translate my vision of the future into words that would inspire others to put effort into pursuing the same future.  Leadership Profile Discussion Essay Paper I am particularly good at inter-personal communication, and use the conversation opportunities to present my ideas to others. I delight in capturing the interest and attention of others, and try to be realistic in my vision of the future by taking into account the available resources, prevailing circumstances, deadlines and budgetary constraints (Gallup, 2021).

Secondly, an empathy theme that tries to live in the ‘shoes’ of others as part of relationship building. I comprehend that empathy is an important and powerful leadership tool, and use it to make others feel that I understand them. In fact, I have great emotional depth. In addition, I am keenly aware of the behaviors, thoughts, motives and moods of others, and instinctively try to make them feel welcome and good about themselves through motivating, supporting and cheering them (Gallup, 2021). Thirdly, a deliberative theme that is careful in making decisions after evaluating the available information and considering possible outcomes as part of executive functions. I have tight control over my emptions, and focus largely on facts and evidence rather than feelings and emotions. I understand that feelings and emotions can cloud decisions, and take care to be cautious about the people around me and their influence (Gallup, 2021).

Fourthly, a restorative theme that is adept at dealing with problems through figuring out what is wrong and presenting a solution as part of executive functions. I am good at individual performance and do not let limitations put me down. In fact, I am motivated to any shortcomings and flaws that hinder me from success (Gallup, 2021).

Finally, an intellection theme that uses introspection and appreciates intellectual discussions as part of strategic thinking. I delight in being active and undertaking challenging tasks. In addition, I enjoy exploring new information and making discoveries. Besides that, I enjoy the challenge of having intellectual discussions and drawing others to my way of thinking (Gallup, 2021).

Based on the results of the StrengthsFinder Assessment, there are two core values I would like to strengthen. The first core value is discipline as regards sharpening the decision making skills and will power. I am logical in my decisions, but there are occasions when emotions and feelings influence my decisions. Strengthening this core value would allow me to achieve leadership goals and stick to decisions made regardless of feelings and emotions. The second core value is positivity as regards tackling problems that crop up in order to move forward. I am focused on moving forward and easily ignore the happiness of the people around me. Strengthening this value would allow me to balance moving forward against keeping my team happy (Butts & Rich, 2018).

The results of the StrengthsFinder Assessment reveals two strengths that I would like to strengthen. The first strength is futuristic. Although I am futuristic, I find it difficult to present inventive ideas. Strengthening this strength would allow me to more accurately present inventive futuristic ideas, especially when the idea is sound but appears impossible. The second strength is deliberative. I am careful with my decisions, but am still influenced by emotions and feelings. Improving on this strength would ensure that my decisions are logical with minimal influence from emotions and feelings (Gallup, 2017).

The results of the StrengthsFinder Assessment reveals two characteristics that I would like to strengthen. The first characteristic is communication. I know when I need to talk. However, I have a problem with listening. To be more precise, I care about the feedback, ideas and opinions of others, but find it difficult to incorporate them into my ideas. Strengthening my communication characteristic would allow me to be a better listener when others talk. The second characteristic is harmony. As a leader, I always look for the way forward. However, my way forward is not always peaceful as I am dominant. Strengthening my harmony characteristic would allow me to leverage the resources and people around me to find the most peaceful way forward (Butts & Rich, 2018).
