The chief nursing officer (CNO) is responsible for organizing, planning, and directing all nursing and patient care activities throughout the healthcare organization. Reporting Relationship of the Position

The clinical director of surgical nursing will be a senior member of the organizational executive management team that is led by the organizational Manager/CEO.
