A Plan for Social Change
Solidarity between healthcare professionals is the essential element in determining the direction of health policy (Williams et al., 2018).Global Healthcare Comparison Matrix and Narrative Statement Essay To fulfill my role as a nurse leader, it is my intention to collaborate with other nurse leaders and practitioners in order to bring the standpoint of global health into our local practice. Taking a didactic tack, I intend to educate my peers and nurse managers about universal health concerns and advocate for policy reform. To better understand how global health challenges affect local institutions, I plan to convene discussions on the subject. There will also be a discussion of the ways in which nurses may lobby for policy change in order to deal with such problems.
There is a possibility that my functions within the organization may shift as a result of the inclusion of a global perspective lens into my local practice, which will occur concurrently with other leadership shifts. During the course of my profession, for instance, opportunities to take stands on issues pertaining to healthcare policy and education could present themselves. Furthermore, there is the opportunity to further one’s education in order to have a deeper understanding of the challenges facing global health and to assume the role of a senior leader. These alterations will empower me to have a greater impact on global health challenges and focus attention on the shifts that must take place on a local level if we are to successfully tackle these problems.
By adopting a global view in my nursing leadership, I will be more equipped to effect positive change via lobbying and policymaking. In my position of leadership, I will be able to steer my community in the direction of healthful lifestyle choices. To improve global health, I intend to use lobbying to affect changes in policy on a local level.
