The learning experiences in the DNP program were so transformative. Some of the learning experiences that had the most significant impact were the evidence-based practice and the learning format. I gained so much understanding of the evidence-based practice. currently, I can recognize various evidence-levels and have refined my skills to perform research and systematic reviews. Among the most exciting concepts during learning was the integration of cultural competence into evidence-based practice. I am looking forward to learning more about evidence that can be integrated to facilitate cultural competence among healthcare providers. Through the DNP program, I am now culturally competent and aware of how culture impacts patient care. Cultural competence enables healthcare organizations to effectively provide healthcare services to meet the cultural, social, and linguistic needs of patients (Jongen et al., 2018). The discussion forums and postings were very informative and enabled me to synthesize the learning information and formulate my thoughts. Moreover, through this program, I learned regarding current healthcare issues and how healthcare can be improved through policy and legislation. I am now more prepared to influence and formulate policies aimed at improving care and advocating for patients.  Additionally, the DNP program is research-based, I can now identify the knowledge gap in clinical practice, conduct research, and translate the research findings into clinical practice. I the future, I will ensure that healthcare organizations apply evidence-based practice (EBP) and use evidence to inform policies aimed to improve care. EBP has been demonstrated to positively impact care and patient outcomes (Black et al., 2015).
